The latest was the Rubberland Design Contest in which participants had to design a product made of foam rubber under the theme of Future Living. The trio decided to design a children’s mattress because, they said, children are the future of the country. To find out more, the students did research about how sleep affects children and the effectiveness of foam rubber as a material. MATERIAL WORLDThe rules of the contest stated that at least 60 percent of the design must contain foam rubber.
